Why You Might Be Seeing a 404 Error
A 404 error means the page you’re trying to reach doesn’t exist at the address you’ve entered. On Sundoraefen, this usually happens for a few common reasons.
The most frequent cause is a broken or outdated link. Pages change, content gets updated, and sometimes old URLs are removed. If you clicked a saved bookmark or an external link, it may no longer point to an active page.
Another reason could be a mistyped URL. Even a small spelling mistake, missing character, or extra symbol in the address bar can lead to a 404.
In some cases, the page may exist but is temporarily unavailable while we’re updating or restructuring parts of the site. When this happens, the page may return later under a new address.
A 404 error is not a ban or restriction. It simply means the page you’re looking for can’t be found. If you believe a page should exist, returning to the homepage or using site navigation is usually the quickest fix.
Why You Might Be Seeing a 403 Error
A 403 error means access is forbidden. On Sundoraefen, this is more serious than a 404 and usually relates to site protection or moderation.
In most cases, a 403 error appears when a network has been restricted or banned. This can happen if our moderators detect behaviour that violates our Code of Conduct or ToS
It can also occur if there have been repeated automated requests, suspicious activity, or attempts to access restricted areas of the platform.
When a 403 is active, the site may not load at all from that network or device. This is intentional & irreversible and is used to protect our community and infrastructure.
If you believe a 403 error has appeared in error, using our Contact Us Form will not work. Instead contact us on X (@Sundoraefen) using reference code: 403NBIND
In short:
- 404 = the page doesn’t exist
- 403 = access to the site has been blocked
